Talking One Eyed Willie

Well, today my head light decided it wasn't gonna work anymore. So now i'm stuck with the dilemma of what type of replacement bulb should i go with. Any good suggestions on where to get them dealer of aftermarket.. and if aftermarket.. url address plz

i've searched through the forum and all i could find was the conversion conversations about it..

They are the factory xenon HID DS2 type bulb

Just find a set of genuine Philips 85122 or Philips 85122+ bulbs from anywhere. Pretty much the most reliable and one of the most widely used bulbs - search online for the differences between the standard bulb and the + bulb. Amazon.com, xenonsupply.com, xenondepot.com, etc. etc.

Remember to replace both at the same time, even if the other is still working.

well...before you go buy a new bulb pull it out and make sure thats the issue... if the bulb is blown it will be black in the air bubble in the middle of the hid bulb...if its not then chances are your bulns are ok and you are looking at a possibility of a few different issues, just like i ran into.
ballast is common
ignighters are easy to change and not too expensive
battery + wire to the fuse box is the cheapest.

start testing before yo buy parts... and just fyi i bought the cheapest bulbs i could get on ebay in the temp i wanted and they have been working for over a year... $27 with shipping for 2...much better than $150 each...

did you get the light working?
6000k is nice, i find them better in rain because they make the white lines glow a little blue...others have said the opposite that they dont like 6k in the rain.

Thanks @ ghettomike.. it was a blown bulb. I was kind of nervous b/c of all the treads i've read about the plastic clip breaking and lack of room to change it. But i found it to be quite easy. about 5 min job.

As far as the 6000k.... i might buy a set and see how i like them. i know with the slight blewish tent can be a little difficult to see @ night especially in adverse conditions. IMO
