Question Open Field Service Action

Thanks to Dan @ Nalley Jag i now know more about my Jag...
To include an Open Field Service Action; question is... do i just take it to my local Jag dealership to have it completed or is this an iten that i have to fix
Also is this some thing i'd have to pay for since she's well out of warranty (101,400)

BTW: R957 Handbrake Lever Replacement

Away from the Jag for another month...

So... is this recall something that Jag would be required to fulfill if i took the her in...
Would I have to pay for the work

It is a RECALL, not a service action. If it is still open, then it should be done free of charge. Best to call your dealer for clarification.

Per US laws, if it is a recall, as long as the item is still open, the manufacturer has to fix the issue free of charge as long as it applies to your vehicle. So, take it in and get it fixed. Mileage has nothing to do with a recall. A recall affects the safety of a vehicle and whether it has 1 mile or 1 million miles, it still needs to be fixed.

Some question comes in if you have say an automatic tranny and go after this sort of thing. Then you may find that you will get some push back. The other situation that you can get feedback is if the recall was already done, but now you are seeing the same symptoms again. But, from what you said, neither of this conditions apply in your case.
