Default Owners manual (i'm a new owner)

Is there aother place besides a Jaguar dealership to obtain an owners manual?

Yesturday I purchased my new 2002 Jaguar X-type 2.5L with 47,000 miles but it didnt come with a manual. I figured most things out by trial and error, but there are more things i cant figure out. I tried searching this form for answers but im not that internet savy and couldnt find anything.
I love the AWD!!!!!!!!!! I left the dealer last nightfor my first drive andChicago was have an Ice/Snow storm i made it home safe and oh so happy! Unfortunatly i bought my X-type from a toyata dealer so the didnt have access to missing things on he car, they agreement was for the to supply these things, butt i have a felling its going to be an issue. i am missing;
1. A spare key (does anyone know how much that costs?)
2. Owners manual plus outline for scheduled service
3. The cartarage ffor the trunk CD player (does anyone know how much that costs?)
Its funny that it came with the Jaguar Cell Phone but not the other things.

I am glad i found this website a look forward to posting tips i learn in the future (butt seems everyone here now everything already)

Hi, welcome to the forum.
You can read and print the manual from here:-
X type manual
I bought an extra CD cartidge from one of the ones on ebay that appear from time to time (I think I paid about £6).
Get back to the dealer to insist they supply the missing bits first though...I would if they promised them or at least have kept part of the payment back until they were supplied.
Good luck.

Thanks Buck for the website,
I did get in writing that they will provide these things, but i got a feeling that its going to be a hassel to get them in a timely mannor.
Idont know whyI didnt think of ebay?I guessI am just geeked about my car, i already have driven it 110 miles and its only been a half day, boy do i love my X-type.
The funny thing is i went into the dealership looking at a mazda 6 and saw the blue jaguar right next to it. and after 3 test drive i fell in love. (man did my insurace premium jump up)

housegroove77, don't get ripped off for insurance. If your Jag dosen't say sport on it than don't pay for it.
My insurer haseled me for the sport thing and I insisted it was a 4 door sedan, nothing sporty.
I finally won. I now pay very reasonable rates for full coverage.

Hey there housegroove and welcome the our forum.
I'd certainly hassle the dealer for the bits that are missing first as it could save you a small fortune and you're quite within your rights.
Other than that as stated Ebay is a good source for partsetc. Just type in Jaguar X type and they'll all pop up. I've seen key fobs on there too, check them out.

I found a website for the Operation Manuals yesterday. If you go to Jaguar.com and click on owners, then sign up with your VIN you can download all of them in PDF. I bet most people already know that but for the two that dont i hope I helped.
Michaelnv: i am calling tomorrow to my insurance and saying what you suggested, plus i am going to argue the fact my X-type has air bags all over it!!! I think the will say the premuim went up becase of the collision costs.
JimC64: I have been on Ebay for the past few days and see alot stuff i want to upgrade... i am like a kid in a candy store.
