P0222 and Transmission Fault
I've only seen 3 post concerning P0222 Throttle Position Sensor Circuit B. I'm going to try the solution in https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...umbling-54853/ and check over the wire connections.
Here's the brief history:
2002 X-Type AWD with a 2.5 with 167k. I've replaced all the intake gaskets, IMT o-rings, check over all the vacuum hoses, cleaned the throttle body and replaced the MAF in September. The motor has been running great ever since.
On Monday I replaced the driver's side knuckle, bearing and hub with one from an auto salvage yard. I also, replaced the passenger's side lower control arm.
Last night, I went into the grocery store while my wife stayed in car (on the phone). The car was running the entire time, about 1/2 hour. I came out and notice the idle was up. I got in the rpms were at 2500 and the "Transmission Fault" indicator was on, but no MIL. I tried driving it, but it was in limp mode. So, I stopped and then tried again. Then MIL light came on. I shut the car off for 5 mnutes. Started it back up and drove home without an issue.
I'm getting code P0222, which I believe would set off the limp mode. Any ideas of where to check for a fix?

Well, it happened again. I took off the wire plug to the throttle body and looked at the connections. I had an issue with the yellow wire 2 years ago. The wire pulled out of the plug while I was working on the manifold back then. Looks like the connecter for the yellow wire backed off the male end. So, I cleaned up and reworked the connection for a tighter. Placed it back into the plug and filled it with silicon to hold it in place.
I guess my trip through the potholes of Chicago loosened it up. I better get another plug for the auto salvage yard soon.
