Default P0333 error, knock sensor bypass

I have the code p0333 comin up. Is there a way to bypass it to keep it from cutting the engine power? I know I read somewhere that someone just cut the wires going to it and connected them? And someone else I think cut the wires on theirs and relocated the sensor to another more accessible part of the engine? Ideas would be great. Thanks in advance!

Thanks vector! What if the sensor was just unplugged? Would that bypass it cutting power? Would it also keep the error code away? Thanks

No, that won't work.

The sensor is only a $30 part on Ebay.

The "Thanks" button is on the lower right of my post above, thanks!

Ok. Lastly where is the connection made between the sensor and harness? Also, what do you mean about the "thanks" button? I use my iphone. Is that something to do with the full site?

Connector location noted with a red arrow in this photo in the original post.

Yes, the "thanks" button must be on the full site. It's just a way of showing your appreciation and the number of thanks you get shows up in our posts.

Vector, just a heads up the info you have was "wrong". The location of the knock sensor connection was wrong for an x type. Regardless I went ahead and replaced the sensor in the factory location. I just can't bring myself to "Jerry rig" a Jaguar.ha. Thanks anyways
