Default Paint code/colour help please

OK,

New to me XType LE 2.1 V6 Front WS

5 days ownership of this beast.

Getting to know the oddities, as compared to the predecessors, and the paint code label is proving elusive.

I have the E11 sticker on the LH "A" pillar, and the Air bag stickers adjacent to the front door strikers.

In the boot, found the full size spare, NEVER fitted, the Pirelli tyre has the blue dye on the tread still intact, and NO witness marks of wheel nut contact.

Build date sticker 12/09 (December 2009 for the USA arrangement), and Australian compliance 03/10 ( March 2010 just to be sure).

Nothing under the bonnet that we can see, so maybe hidden somewhere.

The car is Black, BUT, the S Type it replaces was also Black, and known as Anthracite Pearl, and this car looks exactly the same to my tired old one eye.

Vin # is SAJAG51S9AYJ63537 which I believe is getting near the last of them.

Thanks as always in advance.

Your vin doesn't look to be a proper number on looking it up on another site.

Thanks everyone.

I took snaps, just because.

I am sure there is nothing on any door jam, bar the air bag sticker.

Also the VIN label, again, just in case the one eye typed it wrong.

Trying to edit as the snaps/attachments are not loading, I will keep playing.

Agreed.

There is that "sparkle fleck" is the paint, just like the S Type, and I have established that teh Ultimate Black has no such "fleck", so not that colour.

The original selling dealer has done a lousy job of filling in the details, and they no longer exist. Its just listed as Black, with Black trim.

Time to visit a paint shop, and get a pro involved.

Still leaning towards Anthracite, and the "Pearl" suffix.

Will update when I know.

HAHAHA,

You want to be my side chasing the damn cursor around the screen, oh boy.

One eye and one leg, always a riot whenever I do anything on the Jags.

Sense of humour, PARAMOUNT to staying sane. Learnt that waaaay back in the V12 days.

Thanks for that last snapshot and the colour, I will sort that Tuesday at work with the painter, and its Saturday AM here now.

Cabin/pollen filter needs changing, another riot about to take place.

FOUND IT.

It is on the LH, passengers, B pillar, right down the bottom where that pillar attaches to the sill panel. Obscured by 8 years of grime taht never gets cleaned.

Daughter found it, she got 2 eyes that work well.

PEL is in fact the code.

Must have been a "POETS" day car.

Thanks again to everyone for the tireless assistance.

Yep.

Probably started life as a LHD, and then changed to RHD????. I seriously doubt it, but who really knows, , hence the Passengers side for the sticker, but then again, we Aussies are a weird lot.

Even the 2 S Types have that label on the LH (Passengers) A Pillar, right up the top just above the top door hinge mounting.

The 2 X300 have it in the boot, on the LH side of the spare wheel.

Not a real fan of this "Drivers/Passengers" designation, that really depends where the steering wheel is situated.

Beer O'Clock here now, see ya, brake fluid flush today on the X, and a Supercharger belt on the X300, busy day.
