PCV valve removal
Hi I am getting a little oil from the top of the crankcase through the PCV valve, i am thinking that the pcv valve may be stuck open and allowing a little oil through, does anyone know how to remove the PCV? I've tried, and i don't want to brake it,
I've also looked around on this and other forums and cannot find instruction.
Does anyone have any pointers?

I got it off
Well after a little work taking off bits to get better access, air box notably, I saw two little v shaped wedges in the grey lower housing of the pcv, they lined up with two v shaped recesses in the top of the crankcase where the pcv valve sits, so i lifted the pcv valve and twisted it and it started to undo I cleaned mine up cleaned where it goes and put it back together. Aparently a rattly PCV valve is what you want to hear. if you hear no rattle it is most likely jammed open or shut.

This is a mighty old thread, but, I was having the same trouble tonight removing my PCV valve. You only need to remove the engine cover, then with channel locks, you grab the base of the PCV valve and turn ccw. It needs about a half turn to come loose.
I have a CEL on these days and my pcv did rattle as it should, but, I questioned the seal the O ring makes with the valve cover. My pcv is 5 years old so I ordered a new one for $15 online. This is not likely to be the main culprit, but at this point I'm doing a few things simply for good measure as I have codes P0171 and P0174: lean in both banks.
