Default PDC not working

I have PDC front and back and the button with the Little red light. When I put it in reverse or activates it by pushing the button, it comes with the beep but the red light just keeps on flashing which indicates that I have a PDC failure and I get no warnings from the PDC. Anyone having an idea where I should start looking? I have read somewhere that the sensors should gave a clicking sound if they Work, how is the procedure for checking this?

Hi.

Had the same problem. Never figured out that "clicking" diagnose. Didn't hear anything, but that could be my bad hearing.
In the boot by the spare wheel you will find the PDC module. I disconnected all 3 connectors, dried them with my wife's hairdrier, sprayed sparsly with contact spray and everything worked ok.
Should it be one of the sensors a SDD/IDS could diagnose which one.

Hi again.

SDD: Symptom Driven Diagnostics (newer cars)
IDS : Intergrated Diagnostics System (older cars)

is it Jaguar specific or is it the same as OBD - I scanned the car for P-codes, but none at all, will try to look at the module/sensors

Hi.

PDC codes are Jaguar specific, so a generic code reader will not pick them up.
