Yea I hear you. Eventually I'm going to get the same comments if the rust spreads to the outside of the body.

Go grab a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. The dealers have to sell all their cars off by June or July something before they close down. Look up the list of closing dealers and you can get some killer sales. I heard people getting discounts of up to 50% off MSRP!!!

I just saw a Red one today. Pulled up next to me at a light. It's a good looking car. Back almost reminded me of a saturn sky but a bit different. I think it looks good on the outside...but I wonder how the inside is?

Are the tiny orange specs you see ON the paint or underneath? If they are on the surface of the paint it might not be rust. Might come off with a clay bar.

No its underneath. I've clayed the car several times. These spots never come out.

What marks are you talking about? Water marks or swirls?

Ok. Make sure you are using quality towels and wash mitts. Cheap quality stuff can easily scratch and swirl paint. I use sheepskin washmitt for all the panels above the side body trim strip basically and then I have a microfiber washmitt i use for the bottom part of the car and the wheels. For drying I use 2 Microfiber waffle weave towels. These work really well and if there happens to be any dirt left in a crack, this towel will hold onto it and not drag it across your paint like a chamois will. I use the first one to take off 90% of the water and then go back with the dry 2nd one to make it completely dry. Then you will have no water marks. I'm assuming you don't have hard water, but if you do, u will have to buy a water softener attachment.

For washing I use 3 buckets. 2 filled with water for rinsing the dirty wash mitt and then the 3rd is for dipping into fresh soapy water. This helps get some of the gunk off your mitts so you don't drag it all over the car while washing. This will help you avoid swirls.

For the most part, there will be a small amount of swirling everytime you wash and dry your car. But if you are getting water spots and a lot of swirls, they you are simply not washing and drying your car properly or you are using low quality towels and wash mitts.

What color is your car btw?

Maybe consider buying a water blade. They work great in getting water off right after you rinse it. If you have a good clean towel you should be good to go. If you still have water spots some of the water is probably drying before you dry it. Maybe try one of the detail sprays. Very quick and easy and should take care of any residual spots, unless they were in there before. Then you would need to polish.

+1 on everything. Good advice. Water blades work very well. Just make sure there isn't any dirt left on the car or u will drag it over the paint and scratch it.
