Default Questions for everyone...

Hi Guys,
Been a while since I worked on my "x", but I had a problem and needed some advice. I was driving one day and the car threw itself into limp mode and I got some transmission solenoid errors, so I replaced the solenoids. Now, I'm getting errors P0733 and P0734. I was told that my new solenoid pack could have a few "bad solenoids," I'm kicking myself in the bum because I didn't ohms test the new solenoids, I did the old ones and 2 were bad. Is this a possibility? And, if it's possible, what solenoids would it be? It's a really easy job to change out the solenoids in this car, if this could be the issue I'll make a video and show everyone how it's done…

Thanks guys,

I've had the solenoids codes come on after I replace the flex plate in the transmission. The ground point wire below the battery tray wasn't bolt on tight enough. The codes went away when it had good contact.

James, the question that I would ask back is whether the failed solenoids that you had before are the same solenoids that are bad now? If they are the same, then you have another issue that is causing the solenoids to fail. If they are different, it may be that you simply got some bad solenoids out of the box or you may have accidentally pinched a wire when putting things back together or failed to land a ground wire (as mentioned).

Well, I guess the only thing to do is to pull out the solenoids and Ohms test them all, see if I can find where It's off.

I think what I'm going to do is pull of JB155 and do some ohms testing through that, it should tell me if I have a bad solenoid. I'll make a video and show everyone what I'm doing.
