Default Radio Code

I recently had a new battery fitted to my 2008 X-Type and now I need the radio code. There is no record of it on any of the documents I got with the car when I bought it. It is a touch screen model

Welcome to the forums Jenks63,

As long as it's the original radio, any Jaguar Dealer can lookup the security code from the VIN. They will require proof of ownership such as the V5C and usually provide the code at no cost if approached in the right way.

Apparently the bypass trick only works on pre 2006 units. I used one of the online services and it worked first try.
