I think I've seen this before but a search failed to turn it up.

My X-04 has the Alpine single cd player.I had an ACM installed months ago and everything has been fine. About a week ago while driving, the unit shut itself off for a couple of seconds and came back on. The stations were saved but the clock had to be reset.

Yesterday, it did that again four or five times and it did it again today a couple of times.

Any idea what this is? It doesn't happen over bumps or while driving as it did it at Sonic last night.

To me it's one of two things....Either a loose connection on your power lead to the unit or the Unit is at fault..Kind of like it's going out on some kind of thermal protection (overheating)


Take it to Ultimate or Circuit City or some car audio store..they would maybe have a clue...Good luck

I'm hope something is loose somewhere. A new unit is just too much to think about.
