Default Ready to do ATF Change - Question

After reading as much as I can I'm going to tackle this over the weekend.

Here's my question: Is it ok to reuse the transmission fluid level plug and sealing washer? JTIS says to install a new one. Curious to know if those that have done this replaced or reused?

Thanks in advance!

Rob

The popular theory is that the washer is a crush washer so no, get a new one.....I re-used mine and haven't had a leak.

I've changed my trans flud twice now reusing all the washer/plugs. No leaks.
BTW, I'm using the Castrol Import ATF for the last 25K miles. No issues.
Used Merkon V for the prior 20K miles. No issues.

Rob, three points make a trend - I too reused the original washers and plugs with zero leakage.

I am also using the Castrol Import ATF with zero issues.
