Default Rear brake lights & E.M. warning light

HI,
I am a new member so if Im doing this all wrong please forgive me. I read a thread while searching the forum & replied to it regarding the rear brake lights being permanently on & it explained how to fix the switch etc.
I can do the repair so that's not my problem*%*%?
What I need to know is the issue of my brake lights being on the CAUSE of
the E.M. light showing on the dash??? I have already reset the warning light
a few times but it comes back on again when I restart the car.

Suggest you get the code(s) read and post them here and someone can better advise you then.

The brake lights do not have any warning system for bulb failure - and nor do any of the other lights!
Like Alfadude says, getting the codes read will reveal the line to investigate. Bear in mind that not all code readers can read all Jaguar codes. Often it's just the basic engine ones that cheap scanners read.
