Default Rear bumper removal

So yeah,
I need to remove my rear bumper and I do have back up sensors. Anyone have the jtis or some form of print out as to taking the bumper off?

I've found a rear bumper for my x from a place in houston and I should be able to get it for under 200 bucks shipped. I'll need to re-finish it which will be about 200 bucks and I still need to find a taillight. My next problem is the place I'm trying to get the bumper from has no idea what they are talking about. This guy by the name of Willie says that the jaguar x-type rear bumper has different lengths and I need to go measure mine to ensure it will fit! He said that just like the suburban and escalade they have different rear bumper lengths??? I'm like the only difference for length would be in the estate station wagon if there is even a difference! I told him I'd imagine the only difference would be light holes and back up sensors but that should be the only difference (I'm not for sure who is right but his explanation doesn't sound logical???)

Oh yeah I was also like wtf? When the guy tells me I need to go measure my bumper??? I asked him how he'd like me to measure my car with the bumper on the car??? How am I supposed to get an accurate measurement that would even compare to his measurements of a bumper that is on the ground to a bumper that is attached to my car????

For the record I just called Millenium jaguar in Plano, TX and the parts guy said there is no physical difference between bumpers. He said the number runs all the way through 2008 model bumpers. The only difference which I figured, is whether you have back-up sensors which is just an attachment to the bumper and can/is fitted to the same bumper of all year makes and models. But he said there is only one bumper type for the entire x-type. Obviously you have the body kit but that isn't the same as the rear bumper I speak of...

Call the dealer and ask them for a price for the bumper skin for your vin range. Then ask if they all supercede to the same part number. You may find that it is not too expensive from them.

I mentioned to him about a new one and the cost probably being more than $600 bucks and he said around there...$200 bucks shipped for a used one and I have a guy I contacted about painting it and he said he'd paint it for around 200 bucks to the same color I've got (seems like a deal to me.???) I'm going to call the other dealer near me that that parts guy told me about...

Don't know how...I'd love to paint the freaking thing myself, I was going to take the basic classes with my brother at oakland community college but that's a little hard now that i'm in texas

Anybody have a how-to on bumper removal? Or know how to get one from the jaguar network thingy....

Do you know how ancient?
