Rear unit has died. Where can I get one other than dealer.

 

ebay and salvage yards...mine is dead as well I would buy an older unit, but they're usually 8-9 years old already, and how much life can I expect from it? I did see a brand new unit that would fit our cars on ebay going for $600 IIRC.

Wait, is yours an Alpine unit or Denso? Big difference. (Mine is alpine)

 

It's a Denso unit. The nav screen in car flashes no communication. Bought used nav screen and cd player unit for in the dash but it didn't make a difference. The rear unit spins but is making a clicking sound and won't eject disc. So I'm hoping thats the problem

Does yours send an error message to the head unit.
