Rear end noise

Recently swapped out a transfer case on a 05 xtype... afterwards I noticed when I put the car into reverse... a thump and a slight jerk occurs from the rear.... what could it be??? Help!!

Sounds like a U-joint is going out on the rear drive shaft. I would check the rear driveshaft and see what you have at that point.
