There is a guy on here Buck MR2 that had a gray X with the cranberry leather, but I can't remember seeing another. YES!! That color IS rare. Not sure why, maybe it was just offered a year.

The Cranberry was only offered in the early years, i think up to '03. Was only available in X-Types in the UK and Europe. And not too many of them got it. Was not available in the US, Canada, Australia, etc...

Hard to say how many X-Types got the Cranberry leather, but i'd be surprised if it was more than 500-1000.

Every now & then a car or separate interior will come up on ebay.co.uk

Problem is most of them are a relatively low spec (only 2.5L, no nav, manual rear windows, etc.) and quite often only half-leather. They don't have the split-fold rear seat either. I've been on the hunt for a donor car to change the interior out on mine, but i need the fold down rear seat.

You also got the red leather in the S-Type & XJ, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...41/#post458657 but again it's pretty rare and usually in two-tone.

Here is one, full-leather...

Well I could be wrong. Though I recall seeing a memo or maybe even a post on a forum stating that the Cranberry was not available in the US.

If it was then it would be even rarer than in the UK/EUR.

It's one of those things, you either love it or you don't.
If i could find a car with Cranberry, and the spec/condition/price was good, i'd snap it up.

Looking in the parts catalog, it seems Cranberry was only an option for Sport models, with full leather or half-leather (leather-cloth mix) up to VIN D55321, which means the early cars up to 2003 Model Year only (2003MY ended at D56271.)

So the higher spec cars, known as SE or Executive models in UK/Europe didn't get the Cranberry.

Maybe it was dealer cars, who knows.

Aye, it was the Sport version of the cars I've seen here in the US.

Not bad!

Can only see it working with a black or silver exterior though.

Hey guys,
I am new to the forum and I am also a proud owner of a 'Cranberry'.

Mine is an 2.5 Sport as people have pointed out is the case with most of them. Sold new in Ireland in January 2002.
It is indeed the lower spec version with manual rear-windows, manual airco, no folding back seats etc, but with beautiful 17" alloys as standard and in metallic black (no chrome on bumpers/grille) so it really looks the part. easily the most beautiful looking X-type out there!

The red leather is not quite as bright as pictures suggest but still striking looking. Only downside is that my girlfriend had to adjust her wardrobe as certain colours of her garments would clash with the seats....a small price to pay to be driving in style...

No the Indianapolis models had a Black half-leather/alcantara interior.
They also had 18" BBS "Indianapolis" alloys and a badge that said Indianapolis...

There was no special model with the red interior, it was just an option.

Maybe someone nicked it then?

I saw an Indianapolis over here in Switzerland last year, and it had the badge.

AND....look it's there in the parts catalog;

NO Not Nicked..... It was never there to begin with.
Maybe not fitted for the Australian market? I dunno.

However, you have provided me with yet another part to source/obtain.

Thanks...
