red leather seats

The Cranberry was only offered in the early years, i think up to '03. Was only available in X-Types in the UK and Europe. And not too many of them got it. Was not available in the US, Canada, Australia, etc...
Hard to say how many X-Types got the Cranberry leather, but i'd be surprised if it was more than 500-1000.
Every now & then a car or separate interior will come up on ebay.co.uk
Problem is most of them are a relatively low spec (only 2.5L, no nav, manual rear windows, etc.) and quite often only half-leather. They don't have the split-fold rear seat either. I've been on the hunt for a donor car to change the interior out on mine, but i need the fold down rear seat.
You also got the red leather in the S-Type & XJ, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...41/#post458657 but again it's pretty rare and usually in two-tone.
Here is one, full-leather...

Weird, but I've seen a couple of X's in the US with the Cranberry interior. And they had miles speedo and left hand steering wheel ...

If it was then it would be even rarer than in the UK/EUR.
It's one of those things, you either love it or you don't.
If i could find a car with Cranberry, and the spec/condition/price was good, i'd snap it up.
Looking in the parts catalog, it seems Cranberry was only an option for Sport models, with full leather or half-leather (leather-cloth mix) up to VIN D55321, which means the early cars up to 2003 Model Year only (2003MY ended at D56271.)
So the higher spec cars, known as SE or Executive models in UK/Europe didn't get the Cranberry.

Hey guys,
I am new to the forum and I am also a proud owner of a 'Cranberry'.
Mine is an 2.5 Sport as people have pointed out is the case with most of them. Sold new in Ireland in January 2002.
It is indeed the lower spec version with manual rear-windows, manual airco, no folding back seats etc, but with beautiful 17" alloys as standard and in metallic black (no chrome on bumpers/grille) so it really looks the part. easily the most beautiful looking X-type out there!
The red leather is not quite as bright as pictures suggest but still striking looking. Only downside is that my girlfriend had to adjust her wardrobe as certain colours of her garments would clash with the seats....a small price to pay to be driving in style...
