Default removing steering wheel on x type 2006

have read the faq links about steering wheel removal, but cannot find any airbag retaining screws on the back of the steering wheel??!?
Also it's look like almost impossibel ro remove the steeringwheel colum cover ,there are only two screws on the lower part of that cover.nothing on the upper part.
Can anybody help me how to remove the steeringwheel airbag from a 2006 x-type.
thanks any help would be appreciated

About to do the same thing myself.
So, what is the trick with the clips?
How did you release them?

Thanks!

it was quiet a pain to release the clips.if you look on the "new"steeringwheel you are going to install ,you will see the three small "L"shaped clips..Over those a white wire spring from the airbag is attached.
with a flat screwdriver try to move the white wire in the ouside directions of the steeringwheel, while pulling the airbag .the airbag while come out a little.do that with all three and the airbag comes off
