Replaced Radio, No ACM.. Help!
I have an early '02 'X' with the cassette radio. No nav system. I also have an ACM and I've taken the CD changer out of the loop.
I recently bought a used CD radio, supposedly out of an '03. Well, this morning I went to put it in my car. It went in without a hitch. All the plugs clicked in as they should. It even fired up without any codes needed! But, the ACM won't work. For some reason no power is getting to the ACM system. It won't switch when I push CDC and none of my iPods or my iPhone will charge.
I put the old cassette radio back in and the ACM works perfectly, as it did.
So questions...
Is the later CD radio wired differently?
Do I need to have the CD changer in the loop?
Anything else I'm missing?
Thanks guys.

It's highly likely the car the CD radio came from didn't have the CD Changer, and therefore wasn't programmed for it. When I changed out my cassette to CD I had the same problem (and remember, the ACM mimics the CDC in the system).
You need to get the CD radio reprogrammed by a Jag dealer, or independent workshop. It's as simple as plugging their diagnostic kit into the OBDII plug, and then a few options clicks later you'll be good.
Caution though - dealers like to charge 30+ minutes for this job, whereas it really only takes 5 - find an independent with the right gear and you'll be good to go.
Here's a previous post on the subject (in fact you posted a number of times!) - go to page 3:
