Default Replacement of Washer Hose on X-Type

My windshield washer hose on my 2003 X-Type is broken. I bought a replacement but do I need to remove the fender panel to access the hose connection in engine compartment or is there a faster method? I searched for diagram manuals, but couldn't locate one for the washer hose replacement.

It probably wasn't the hose that broke, was it? It was one of the "Tee" fittings? Tell you what I did: I took a coffee stirrer, the little red "straw" type, cut off a bit of it, and glued it in with liquid electrical "tape" (you could use silicone) as a splice. It's been in there two years now.

I wouldn't think you'd have to remove the fender, but you might have to remove the wheel well liner, the black flexible plastic liner in the right front wheel well. It's held in with some Torx T30 bolts and some plastic push pins.

I recently replaced part of mine. I did not have to remove the fender-fender well or anything. Interesting. Good luck.

I would think that it depends upon where the break is. On our '04, a previous owner really messed up the inner fender, resulting in road grime getting onto the washer tank/pump assembly. As you can probably guess, corrosion did it's havoc on the electrical connectors and pump motor, and Jaguar wants a chunk of change for that pump. I did, however, find a will-fit Delco that was less expensive, and worked out fine.
