Replacing boot wiring harness
I have searched the forum but dont see any advice on how to change the last section of the wiring harness for the boot. It disappears into the car from the boot lid but dont see the way to replace this due to lack of access from inside the car. Any help would be much appreciated as the car goes for the MOT soon and number plate lights not working. Cables have broken in boot hinge area of harness from opening and closing over the years.

You'll find it easier to pull the corrugated rubber conduit free from the boot/trunk lid and body and repair the wires inside. Use solder and heat shrink to re-insulate them.
Supply to the number plate lights is the Orange wire and the Black wire is the Ground (that's shared with the boot/trunk lock motor so is probably OK)
