Here's just a short clip of the sound. This was under a bridge sort of thing so it echoes a little bit.

As long as you like it! Personally I can't stand the rasp but that's just a matter of personal preference. I'm glad you did the delete first rather than spending money to replace the unit and possibly not being happy. Cheers!

Damn, now you've got me thinking about it. I already have the mufflers I want, I may just have them run a straight pipe to get rid of the resonator when I have the mufflers installed...

Yeah, driving it the past few days with the new setup is so much more rewarding! I love the sound now, but I do have to say when it gets up to around 5k+ rpms, it starts to not sound too good, but I almost never get it all the way up there so for me it's perfect. I usually let it shift at around 2.5-3k rpm and it sounds amazing there.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I usually try to stay above 5k rpm, LOL. I'm what you might call a spirited driver. Luckily for me the resonator I want is only about $50 shipped so it's not going to be an expensive proposition.

I definitely will. Unfortunately I do have some body work issues to take care of before the modding can begin. I'm hoping to have the exhaust sorted before the summer. :-/

just to follow up, i've gotta say, i get tons of compliments on the sound of my exhaust. as long as it's warmed up, it never sounds ricey or raspy, just throaty and more muscley but tamed and relatively quiet under 2.5k rpm.

i highly recommend the exhaust resonator delete if you want any sort of grumble/modulation in the sound!
