Default Restoring a Classic with Updated Parts

Brought my first JAG and it's a work in progress. I cranked it for the first time yesterday. That brought me joy but it is not ready for the road yet. I ordered a Bluetooth Elm 27 code reader that should be here soon. I am making a list of things I know need to be replace & do a tune up because of my mileage on the car. I need the following things:
Coolant Tank & hose:
Spark Plugs (6) Dbl Plat: Found cool pk on Amazon that comes with coils
Battery & cables, maybe connectors too:
IMT-Orings: Not sure how many to order OR what type?
Manifold gasket: Fel-Pro Ms96494
Upper Plenum gasket: Fel-Pro Ms96485
PCV hose ribbed one: Do I need the Jaguar brand or generic rib PCV hose?
Headliner tapped mine is sagging: Need tape or replace
Waterproof ECM with tape because I heard these give problems when wet from water or moisture.
New clamps
Knock sensor???
Bank 1 Oxygen sensor???
Check the breather valve & hose
Belts/Hoses???
Clean Throttle Body
Fuel Filter
Filters oil/cabin

How do I clean underneath the hood. It is very dirty with dust, leaves, etc??

If there is something I missed or you guys have suggestions don't be shy to reply. I will post pics of the car soon.
Thanks

tsimms: Look on eBay for Autolite APP605 double platinum spark plugs. They go for $2.50 to $3.50 each in blister packs of 2 & 4.

The IMT O-rings are part number C2S40669. You'll need 2. Here's an eBay is listing of 2 for $20, but I bought them from a local shop specializing in European cars for $3-5 each.

New coolant reservoirs go for ~$40 on eBay:

For the coolant hose, buy some silicone hose by the foot on the Internet or most auto part stores. Don't use gas line - the hot coolant degrades it (the former owner of my X-Type tried this, and I had to replace it when leaks developed).

Likewise, eBay or an auto parts store had the upper and lower manifold gaskets.

The ribbed PCV hose part number is C2S40863. There are some on eBay for $35. Change the PCV valve while you're at it for an additional $12-15. Some are straight, others L shaped - replace what you have with like kind.

I would not mess with the O2 sensors unless you have a check engine light and code telling you they're bad. The upstream sensors go first - they have an electric heating element that goes bad after ~80-120K miles. No harm waiting - they'll let you know when they need to be changed.

You didn't mention the air filter, but I'm sure that's on your list.

The Jaguar EPC - Electronic Parts Catalogue is invaluable for finding part numbers. You can download a free copy from the How To / Quick Links page. The link is at the the top:

Good luck.

Default Boss Seal for spark plugs

I ordered my spark plugs today. I was wondering if I need to change the boss seal for the spark plugs as well? What may be an indicator it is bad?

What is the *** cover gasket? Where is that located?

tsimms: You may be hearing about valve cover gaskets which, when old, can seep engine oil into the spark plug wells, causing misfires.

When you change the spark plugs, look in the spark plug wells. If oil is present, you'll want to remove the valve covers and replace the gasket in the rectangular groove around the 3 spark plug holes.
