Hi.


I just bought a 2002 Jag X Type 62,000 miles and I love the ride.


It is clear to me that the audio system is shot so I am going to Crutchfield it.


Can anyone give me a suggestion as to the best way to run the speaker wires to the rear door? I see the rubber wire harness cover going from the door to the door post so I can easily run the speaker wires through that housing. I am at a bot of a loss though as far as how to get the wires from the door post to the front of the car.

one other question for you all is can anyone make a suggestion for some component speakers maybe at about 150 per pair. I have read some folks have said that there is limited depth in the doors for speakers.


Also, can someone recommend a head unit. I have also read that you have to be carful and get a head unit where the connections are on the bottom half of the double din because there is an exhaust fan that you bump into if the connectors are on the top. I would send up to 300 on a head unit.


Not going to go for the amplifier now but might in the future with a new sub woffer but that would likely be another weekend project. Any suggestions on replacement amps and locations to mount?
