Default Satnav options

I have a Jaguar X-Type, 2007, 2.2D, European. I do not have a SATNAV device and installing an original one s cumborsome as have to work on new wirings etc...
I found some chinese vendors with devices for Jaguar X-type that would go by replacing the current stereo system (so the air-con will remain as it is). They state in the specs: "Existing steering wheel controls COMPATIBLE". Does anyone have experience? Is that a statement can be trusted ? Because if it involves programming/wiring modification/adapters, I prefer to know before buying. I believe the model I have, has not a CAN bus ( or does it?).

Replacing the original stereo will require something on the body control module?

Thank you

Both nice units but any (slim limited space behind the unit))double din unit should work.

I don`t know where I found it but I did see someone who moved the AC/Heater controls down to where the radio is and added the double din unit above them which did look a lot more "factory"
I will see if I can find it but that was a few years back when I was looking into the option but decided to go with the factory NAV upgrade.

The steering controls are hard wired.
I have attached the electrical drawing for reference.
