The Jaguar ACM is hard to find at a reasonable price. The last two that sold on ebay went for $350 & $595...A brand new replacement head unit would cost less than that and will give you far better sound quality.

The factory X-Type audio technology is over a decade old at this point, and even with good replacement speakers and a sub, the factory head unit still sounds pretty bad...My intention was to keep the factory look and use an ACM, but this factory head unit has to go.

I got mine second hand out of a damaged car.
I'd start calling the dealers. The part mumbet is c2c 40513.
Good luck.

I disagree, if you have the premium sound package like I do the ACM is well worth the money as it's still better than the majority of stock audio systems. However, if you don't have the premium sound package then I would agree that a new custom system is the better choice.

Oh, and the member Dr. Dome has been buying up these cars and parting them out so you might ask him if he has one to sell

My only problem was that it was a first generation ACM. I had to install the Dension software. Also the iPod plug came apart one morning. I guess the Florida heat hates cheap plastic! But some patience and some super glue and all is good again.
