I love my ACM. All I listen to is my ipod. I would like to listen to my iphone, but it's a chore taking my Otter Box off as the ACM plug is wide and won't go in the smallish hole the Otter Box provides. So... I bought an extension. A simple extension. The plug is smaller and fits in the Otter opening. The iPhone charges, but no sound through the ACM. The music plays through the silly iPhone speakers! Is this strange or what? It's a simple extension. Wire A is still wire A at the new plug!!!

Sounds like you got a crappy extension. The ones that aren't wired correctly will do this. I would return that one if possible and try a different brand. I'm guessing you got a cheap Chinese one off eBay?

Yeah, try another extension. Even another cheap chinese one should work. Those lightning cable extensions I was talking about a few months ago are cheap chinese crap but they play music and charge the phone. Looks like you just had bad luck as these things can be hit or miss. Sure beats paying the Apple price though
