Cool service

I just got my 2009 x type serviced after 6 months and about 8,000 KM.I have to say that this car has been very reliable in the approximately 18 months that I have owned it. It hasn't needed a top up of oil since being filled at the last service - this engine is really oil tight - it burns little if any oil.

I changed the tyres when I bought the car - they have been wearing very evenly. This might be because I rotate them 6 monthly as well as getting a wheel alignment every 6 months as well.
Just a note - when I had the service done today the dealer gave me an XE as a loaner - boy what a nice car that is. When the X type finally dies I'd seriously consider getting an XE. Very sprightly performance and really nice in corners. The steering is really well set up. Shifts are imperceptible - it just glides along.

Well that's it, 800 KM to go before I am due for a sparkplug and fuel filter change. The dealer quoted me approximately $600 AUD to change the plugs. Even though its pricey I'm going to get them to do it as they know the model well and do good work, albeit for a premium price. I'd rather pay up front a premium for the job to be done right the first time rather than pay less for a job that is of lower quality - that's false economy....
