service engine light

Cool service engine light

my service engine light is on, checked with reader no fault codes stored, no messages in msg center on instrument cluster...does jag trip this light for scheduled maintenance to be done ? if so how is it reset ? thanks Bogey

Bogey, if you have the CEL but no codes, then your problem lies in something other than the engine most likely. Odds are, you are experiencing some harsher shifts with the tranny and the light is simply telling you that you have error codes for the tranny, not the engine.

As for the light being triggered for normal maintenance, not to the best of my knowledge. I have been driving for 50K+ miles and no light because of maintenance stuff (which I would have expected by now).
