Default Service Pro Antifreeze?

A friend of mines who works for a local mechanic shop with a coolant flushing system says they use Service Pro 50/50 universal formula to flush & refill their customer cars.

Product Specifications:
•Meets ASTM D3306, D4985
•May be added to the antifreeze/ coolant of ANY make or model of automobile and light duty truck on the road, foreign or domestic
•Prevents freeze-ups, overheating, and boilovers
•May be added to ANY color antifreeze/coolant
•Protects aluminum and other engine metals
•Provides a silicate and phosphate free formulation for long lasting inhibition and corrosion protection

Product link (scroll down to second 50/50 forumla)http://www.service-pro.com/documents...iSpecSheet.pdf

Just looking for some input to see if its safe to use on my vehicle. Mahalo!

Perhaps you could give us a clue to what your vehicle actually is?

Do you have a handbook? If not you can find it at TOPIx - TOPIx

you will find the coolant spec there.

funkdoktor, that product is just fine to use in your car. In short, it is a fancy name for the coolant that a lot of other manufacturers use. Flush that coolant system out and enjoy the drive around the island.
