Recently got an oil change and used full synthetic 5-30w and after a drive from Modesto to San jose (90miles) I noticed some smoke coming from the engine bay, and it wasn't a lot just enough to get my attention. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

 

The oil filter is right above the exhaust manifold. Oil drips all over it when the filter is removed if somehting is not put under the filter to catch the oil--or at least wipe it up after. The smoke you see is probably the oil burning off.

 

Probably some oil was spilled on manifold or as the other post said could be leaking oil filter. I'd check both.
