Sons X type 2.0d Sport premium + Mods
Well, looks like the eldest son is a little bit of a Jag fan
21 year old and he's looking to get into a Black 2007 X type 2.0d Sport premium.
It has 65k on the clock, one careful owner FJSH, cream leather interior and 18" Arubas with good Pirelli's / Michelins.
All the usual refinements, amazingingly good condition, just had a major service recently too, 1 years Jaguar warranty with the car too.
Needless to say he's a happy little bunny and its a big step up from a 1.4 Vauxhall Astra SXI so he's grinning ear to ear.
Don't expect he'll be much of a forum fan but I'll point him here and to the UK site for diesel specialist knowledge

Here's a few pics of Peter's car, should be ready for collection, perhaps on Friday, a few things needing sorted.
Got it for a decent price all things considered....
1 careful owner, the interior is as new and has never been smoked in, the leather is almost as new with slight wear on the drivers side seat bolster as you'd expect, but nothing major.
The back seats look like they've never been sat in at all, ever.
Th bodywork seems flawless and I can't see a scratch, dent or door ding anywhere and the paintwork is very shiny and in great condition with not a lot of swirl marks.
Had trouble getting the bluetooth to connect but they're sorting that out.
The alloys were again in great shape with only a few minor scuffs / scrapes but they are refurbing them to new within the price.
I also noticed a very small crack in the windscreen ( nothing major ) and not within the MOT failure area, but I mentioned it to the dealer and asked that they replace it within the cost of the car, and they agreed......Nice one!
1 years full Jaguar warranty cover c/w roadside assist
1 full years MOT
1 full years Road Tax
Everything all good.
Mods planed are as follows.....
lower mesh grill
Chrome exhaust tailpipe finisher
rear windows tinted ( medium smoke )
Rear chrome bootlid plinth....this to be replaced with a body coloured one with the JAGUAR letters drilled out and leds placed behind to complete the updated look
To compliment this, all bulbs replaced with high powered / LED to give a bright white bluish tinge look
Bonnet liner maybe something like this?
Jaguar puddle courtesy lights maybe.....?
As per this thread...
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ication-91768/
Personal number plate added shortly after X14 PED
Peter may / may not join the forum at some stage, we'll see.............he's currently drooling over picking up this car as soon as possible.

Well, got the car today and all was well.......Peter & I were both treated very well, in fact Peter felt like a million dollars I'm sure.
The alloys had been refurbed to a very high standard and a complete job was done, not just the faces.....A+ from Jag
It was a very nice / pleasant and quite quick handover and off we went in a nice new shiny X type....lol
A few quick cheap mods in mind today that were carried out....
A 2.2d badge cost £25.....immediately gave the car an extra 23bhp and added £1500 to the value of the car...lol
A new Jaguar X type aluminium tax disc holder
New Jaguar tyre valve caps
A set of new wheel nuts ( standard no locking wheel nuts )
More to come but one happy bunny for now.....

5mins ownership and....
Arrrrgggghhh, you've gone over to the dark side.
Sweet looking car though.
Now who is the guilty 'parker' and do you have the phone number for your wheel guy handy?
I notice that dad's usual coffee mug has already found it's way in there, are you sure that this is really going to be Peter's car?
Congrat's on the purchase, it should provide many happy drives.

Thanks to all for the nice compliments and well wishes on behalf of Peter ( The owner )....lol
Contrary to popular belief, although I love the Jag ( obviously ) I'm just the helper, the dad who hopefuly helps him to make it better, keep it on the road, hopefully for much cheapness.
Richard - Yes you did notice dads coffee mug in the cupholder ( very observant ....lol ) but I was a passenger for the whole day, honest!
Mods still to come.........
Hubs / Calipers painted in silver to look clean & stock
Lower mesh grille
uprated headlight bulbs all round to give a crisp fresh bright white light, not the older yellowy look.
Rear window tints ( medium smoke NOT limo black )
De chrome rear bootlid plinth
Mod the plinth JAGUAR lettering and add white leds
Rest assured guys, Peter's not one for tacky add ons / upgrades etc and just wants the best clean stock looking car possible
He's even concerned about playing his music "Swedish House Mafia" in the car as it doesn't suit.....PMSL

Well, he got round to painting his hubs / calipers over the weekend, went for stock silver too, so good choice IMO.
Had the wheels off and gave them a thorough cleaning too ( taught him well..lol )
befores and afters below.....
I think he hopes to have his plate on her in the next week or so too, so that'll be checked off the list.
I'm sure he talked about possibly window tints ( medium smoke ) after that, then perhaps upgraded bulbs before looking at lower mesh grill, rear chrome blade change etc.
Lookin good and he's happy as larry...lol
