Default sounds like a squeaky bed 2

Ok, I wrote a post about this a little while back. I have the squeak coming from the rear passenger side of my X. I had the rear shock replaced and it did nothing. So today me and a friend got under the car and tried to find out where this squeak was coming from. We greased up everything we thought might be causing the sound. With little success we decided to jack the car up and remove the tire to get a better look at things. When we put the tire back on the sound went away! But, it came back after I drove the car. We jacked it up again and removed the tire again… same thing; it went away until I drove the car for about 2 minutes. I know it is not the tire. I think maybe a spring or something. I do find it odd that every time the car is jacked up and then lowered the sound goes away until it is driven. Does anyone have any thoughts about what this might be?

yes i did the cables. it is not where the sound is coming from. Thanks for the TSB by the way. i was hoping that was it but it sounds like some where around the shock or spring. it is hard to pin point it.

Rear lower arm sounds plausible due to the weight shift when up in the air. I forget what year your is?
Possible bushing in the arm making noise.

it is a 2003. for some reason i thought it might be some rocks or something under the spring. is there some way to check the bushings?

Mine rear lower arms were replaced due to wear in the bushes as the bushes are incorporated in the lower arms.
I think to check them when the wheel is up in the air grab the top and bottom of the wheel ie hands at 6 o clock and if it rocks excessively with up and down movement then it could be the bushings in the rear lower control arm.One of the tech guys may be able to confirm if this is how you check.
My MR2 Turbo used to squeak from the rear corner. You could hear it when you pushed down on the corner.Squirted WD40 on the spring and it stopped.Careful not to get on discs though!

rear has to be elevated and then stick prybar between arm and subframe and see if there is play.. if there is play they are garbage.. check it this way checks the littlest play in the bushing..
