Since I bought the Jag in 2007 I've always used sport mode. Just reently it has stopped working. What should I look for?

 

firstly check fluid levels and then see if you have any fault codes as you could have a sensor failing in the gear box or worse

It may sound funny but get your battery tested.
My sport mode stopped working a new battery fixed the problem for me.

 

Normally I would look at the battery but this time that's not the problem. The battery is fresh and holding a full charge.

 

Weirdest thing. I guess sport mode was just taking a long siesta. This afternoon while we were running some errands I decided to press the button one more time. Low and behold it lit up and everything is working again. To make sure I turned it off then on again several time and it's working normal again.

 

Ditto on the battery... mine stopped working and replacing the battery made it come alive again.

Battery checked out fine when it first stopped working but failed 6 months later
