Spotted door trim?
The metal trim around my doors looks spotted and somewhat faded. Does anyone know how to clean this andget it to shine? It looks like some form of oxidation under a clear coat.
I've tried a few polishes and metal cleaners but when i'm done it still looks the same.
Thanks

I have the same problem, can't be cleaned becasue it's burned into the trim...(factory defect) needs to be replaced...take to your dealer for replacement (if under warranty)
I'm waiting till i get closer to my warranty experation...

Tried flitz, nothing.Wonderful stuff though.
I thought Jag would onlywarrant cosmetic defects for the first 12 months.
It might not be metal. Sometimes it looks like a coated plastic.

Metal? Far from it...All plastic.....
Anyway, no your warranty covers any body/cosmetic defects up to the last mile of your warranty.....this includes your wiper arms if and when they start to fade...... ask me how I know.....lol
I took my jag in last year (25K miles) when I noticed a bit a fish eye on the paint near the deck lid.......no questins...took it in and 4 days later....good as neew....
