Steering Wheel viberates at 62mph?
Hi Guys.
I am new here. Just baught a 03 x-type 2.5 with manaul trans, this past week. I Had put 400 miles with little to no issues except for steering wheel vibration between the speeds of 62- and 75mph. Any ideas what casues the wheel to vibe inbetween these speeds but not others?
Also, just yesterday, the clutch went out....I think? The clutch won't engage. Car starts, sounds great, but the car will not move into any gear regardless if the car is started or not. Could this be somethign other than just needing a new clutch?
any help or ideas would be really great.

Welcome to the world of Jag!
I also noticed a vibrating steering wheel issue at roughly that speed, had the front wheels balanced and the issue went away.
The noise-paranoia is getting slightly out of hand (I have oversensitive hearing). At roughly 100-110kph, I hear a very weird, silent, resonance-like wailing sound that goes up and down like a slow siren. Nobody else seems to hear it.

Hi Guys
I look into getting the tires balanced. I am quite sure the previous owner balanced them, before I baught the car. However i'll look into doing this.
As for the Clutch, the Stick moves into the different positions just fine. I don't notice any different noise, its just the gear does not engage.

The other possibility is that one or more of your wheels are bent. That happened to me and a wheel was actually cracked. Seems like the wheels that Jaguar used on these cars tend to be somewhat fragile and with low profile tires and pot holes... :-(
They should be able to tell you if the wheels are bent when they try to balance them.
