Strange SDD problem when programming transponders
Hi,
I've been battling with my 2002 X-type for some time now and I'm close to giving up altogether! I lost my only key three weeks ago now.
The problem is with V130 SDD. When I try to initiate the programming of two new transponders I get the following error displayed. This has been tried with two different laptops, a Mongoose and a DA-VINA2, which I believe Jaguar use themselves. I borrowed this device from a friend who is an auto electrician and had a go himself with other devices.
If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very grateful. This is an LPG car, so I don't really want to scrap it.
Thanks,
Dave

Update: I checked the CAN bus and SCP wiring throughout the car and it was OK. I changed both the GECM, ECM and IC and all communications via SCP were restored. Might be useful if someone else's car suffers the same fate. I nearly scrapped mine.
I still need to reflash the ECM ideally because it was taken from a vehicle fitted with auto transmission, but the car drives.
