Hello,

I have an issue with the buttons for the sunroof not working. Following the reset/reprogram procedure found on this forum fixes it but it is only temporary. It will work for the next day or two and then randomly require a reset/reprogram again.

My first thought was that it was a battery connectivity issue but the the terminals are snug and the clock doesn't ever reset in the car. The battery is also only a couple months old and I was having the same issue with the previous battery.

Any suggestions? Is their a separate module that controls the sunroof itself and could that be going bad?

Edit: Looks like I didn't include the vehicle (thanks Bob!) It is a 2004 X Type 3.0L

 

I believe the electronics for that are in the sunroof motor.

Sorry about that. It is a 2004 X Type 3.0L. Where would I find more information on this TSB?
