supercharger in x type
#3
Our transfer cases are only rated for around 250hp and around 240 lb/ft of torque. The 3.0 puts out close to that in its stock form so nobody has ever messed with it. I would say you could probably get it to work for around 1000 miles, but even then I would just recommend waiting until the 3.0 supercharged xf comes down into your price range in the next few years.

There's an article on a British X-Type that was supercharged to 340hp or something like that. There's that big Jaguar-info-articles thread here somewhere with links to mediafire, it was one of them.
It was later driven into a tree, and the custom interior was bought by one guy on the UK forum.

If you do decide to install a Supercharger (Blower), do a search for one that is compatible with a V6 intake.
(This kit is for a Mustang)
Or, check on the possibility of installing a belt driven turbo. (Not much room in the engine bay for either to be installed).
Might check on installing a turbo under the body?
One last note: Jaguar is introducing a 3.0 supercharged engine in the 2013 models. (Engine Swap?)
