sway bar links? installation
Is it difficult to install them? I have a 2004 Jaguar x-type sport 3.0 and the noise coming from the front of the car was diagnosed as bad sway bar links and a strut plate (i guess its loose?). Are these common issues? Anyway I'm starting with the sway bar links. I bought the parts, and before I pay to have them done, is it a job I can do myself? I've worked on cars before from fuel tanks/filters to radiators alternators and easy stuff like that, just notthing involving the suspension. Thanks in advance
So its not under any pressure or tension? just regular tools to swap em out? and since mine are bad and i bought the car with them bad, would I notice any difference in driving with new ones?
I would assume like any other vehicle I have ever worked on you need to jack up the front and put it in jack stands to remove the load. You may need to use a jack to partially load the hub to get easy alignment but i personally would not attempt to do this without taking the load off of the front of the vehicle.
