Hey guys I had a new engine installed to my 03 and my mechanic said that there is a tapping noise coming from it. He doesn't know what it is and he's bringing in his transmission guy on Tuesday.
Is there anything I should tell him?

Tell them to check and retorque the flexplate bolts. I had a terrible tapping noise that sounded like a rod knock after replacing my transmission on my Jeep cherokee.

 

Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to tell him.
If there is anything else I should tell him it would be greatly appreciated. I'll see if I can take a video of the sound and post here so there is a better idea of what is happening.
