what is this part called?
Recently working on my 03 x-type & inadvertantly crumbled the plastic housing for this set of wires. It goes into the throttle body on the driver's side. Is it IAC, MAP,IDK. And am I screwed with the plastic enclosure being destroyed or can I just slide them into their true fit? also getting a P1224,P1229,P1603 DTC.Are they related to this plug?

konshu, the black piece on the side of the throttlebody is the actuation motor for the throttlebody. You may be able to slide them into the holes to make contact, but that would be hit and miss. I can not tell by the picture how bad things may be. I would say to give it a try. You may need to play a little bit with the wires as the motor is polarity sensitive and you may find that putting them in 1 way will cause the car to only idle while putting them in the other way will allow normal control of the car.
As for a permanent fix, you are not going to like the answer. You can not order just the actuator motor (if you do find one, let me know). You can only get the whole throttlebody. A recycler is going to want about $500 or so for the throttlebody. If you can live without the car, there is a place in E-bay that you can send them the throttlebody and they will rebuild it for you for around $400.
I wish I had better news and maybe someone else will have some other guidance for you.

A few years back I got a rebuilt TB from Jaytan in California (google them). Ordered it over the phone, gave them the "casting" number and they sent the rebuilt. Low and behold I received it in two days, I was QUICK to send mine back as a core. Haven't had any problems since. The cost was $399.00 and the staff were GREAT.
