Default Throttle Body Bypass - Butt Dyno says more power

I perfomed the throttle body bypass today. Noticeable increase in power. Not exactly drastic, butnothingto shake a stick at. Anyone else here try it?

Models before 2004.5 had a regular mechanical/electrical throttle body bypass valve like MANY, MANY other cars. It gets gummed up inside with carbon deposits and requires cleaning. Chris Fix has a great video on how to do it.

After 2004.5, the throttle body is electronic and doesn't need cleaning (also in Chris Fix's video, shown on his Dad's Mazeratti).

Dell not to hi-jack the thread but I have a question. I noticed on the moss-Europe one you linked to also says cold start valve. Would this maybe be one of the problems that allot of members have posted about when it comes to when the temps drop that when the car is started that it runs like crap and missing and carrying on until it warms up just a little bit then runs normal ? Like mine for instance I even posted about it before does the same thing and I’ve done the plugs, coils, All gaskets & hoses and still have this problem. Maybe at low temps this valve is sticking and between heat and vacuum it starts to work when warmed up just a little bit ?
