Top hose clip came out!Where can I locate new one?
Hi! Removed pos battery lead, cleaned it,and battery light now out solved Now while road testing it top hose clip came out(removed to get at alternator lead for cleaning)and is nowhere to be found The result being a loss of water causing overheating(temp gauge, however never rose above normal!) I presume in removing it it weakened it in some way Where could I locate new one? Hope no damage done to engine....
I'm not sure which clip you are referring to exactly, but unless it's something unique you can buy a hose clamp and any hardware store. Also, as long as nothing overheated you should not have done any damage.
A perfect example of why we ask all members to put vehicle details in their forum Signatures.
Sounds like you caught the water loss in time.
If the hose clip is one of the spring steel 'constant tension' pattern fitted to many other Jaguar models, the dealer will have them.

Been in touch with Colliers Tamworth they reckon you have to purchase complete top hose assy at around £85! What a rip-off for the sake of one sprung clip Better look on Fleabay...Unless anyone out there got one spare...
