Default Turn signal relay switch......

Where is it located? Im looking at getting clear bulbs that blink an amber color from superbrightleds.com. I talked to one of the guys there and he said i need a delay switch as well to go with the lights. Where is the switch located i have pulled all the larger type fuses in both boxes and still not found the one that controls the blikers

I dont know what you are looking for, the words you are using dont make perfect sense. The switch is on the steering column and has a built in speaker in it.
There is no separate relay for the turn signals, and there is no old fashioned flasher relay either. The turn signal are run entirely from a computer module called the GEM, general electric control module. It is behind the glove compartment on LHD cars.

Gragner, like was mentioned, the lights blink at a rate set by the computer. The flash rate will change a little based on the current load of the circuit. So, if the flash rate changes too much, you will end up having to add resistors to the circuit in parallel to the new bulbs to help draw more current and slow the blink rate back down. Some people have a problem with this, some don't. With your year car, it shouldn't be an issue except for maybe the computer seeing the lower current levels (due to the LEDs) and thinking that a bulb is burned out. This will cause a message to be displayed on the dash.

HI gragner66, I'm trying to do the same thing on my 04 X-type and just came across this... were you able to figure out the indicators? Did you have to add the resistors? I've heard that those can burn, so I'm hesitant to put them in if I can just have LEDs and draw less current.

thanks!!

You can go with just the led bulbs but it makes the blinkers flash quicker in the car. But the outside flashes normal. Makes the computer think a bulb is burnt out if resistors are not put in
