Default Very hard shift into passing gear..... Help

I bought an 03 3.0L X-type a month ago. I am having an issue with the trans (Go figure). When I am driving with the car in drive and give the car enough gas to downshift into "passing" gear (speed doesnt matter) It shifts REALLY HARD. It does not do it when I move the shifter into the "4" position. I had the trans flushed with the proper K17 fluid and it went away for about a week, now its back. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it's doing this? Could it be a low fluid issue? I have no codes and other than that no issues with shifting except for the slight "lurch" I have heard described in may threads here but that only happens from time to time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I'm wondering if it's the transmission, check the u-joints. That is usually in my experience what causes it. Do you hear a clunk sound?

Nope, no noises, just the nice hard jerk. The part that makes me wonder is that it only does it when it is in Drive. I can tap the shifter into the "4" position and it will downshift perfectly. But I will check the U-joints this weekend, Thank you.

Well, I got a hair up my behind today and decided to try something. I bought a bottle of Seafoam Trans Tune (16oz) and a small fluid pump from Advanced Auto Parts. Opened up the fill tube and put 8oz in, then went for a drive around town. Within 5 miles I started to notice a difference. Within 10 miles the lurch when coming to a stop had gone away. By the time time I got home (approx 30 miles) the hard shift was all but gone. It might be because the fluid was low or it could have cleaned everything up so it works properly but all around the trans is working better. I just hope it's not temporary and a week from now I am back on here telling you how this sucks. lol Keep ya posted........
