Hey guys, im not sure if im posting in the right spot, im fairly new here and i like whats going on . im having a lot of trouble with my jaguar x-type 2002. Everytime i drive with my music high it seems to automatically lower the volume on its own and it gets pretty low. I do love to play my music fairly high and im just wondering if this is maybe a safety feature or if there is a way i could maybe turn it off? Im posting because i just bought 4 new speakers for my car =] and im excited to put them in! please let me know your opinions!! thanks!

Any chance you are hitting the volume "-" button on the steering wheel? Maybe that
button is going bad and turning the volume down???

 

Hey there, sounds like you have an issue with AVC I think it is ( Automatic volume Control ) that lowers / raises the sound depending on speed.
Try checking through your manual or do a search on the forum for "volume control" or AVC and see what turns up whilst you're waiting for other replies

Hey thanks guys, I held the volume knob until it came up to change the numbers (1-5), than i just clicked it again to turn the ACV off, ill let u guys know how it ends up while driving...thanks guys =]
