A week Later
After sitting out back of one of our stores for a week, and a stern talk the the Service Manager, the car made its way in. The biggest problem was that my Service Manager and Parts Manager were letting the Badge rule their minds instead of the facts, It's ford powered from Cleveland Engine plant 2.
It had a miss, on all 6 Cylinders, and Jag said it needed new injectors, and fuel rail, to the tune of 1200.00. a new battery, and maybe Cat converters. I told my parts manager it was a Lincoln LS so treat it as such. It has a plenum leak at the gasket, and we are also replacing the injector o-rings, LS rings, ford battery.
There was no Fuel in the oil, and cat converters have good flow, however they are throwing a hot code. Will check after we get back together. I will post the ford part #'s after they are in and we verify. The engine is in good shape, and all that I have seen make me feel honored to be the fourth custodian of this British racing green sport.
