My new X-Type is great but when I turn off the ignition I have noticed a strange humming noise coming from the small "speaker" situated on the dash to the left of the steering wheel (I'm in the UK so it's RHD).

Anyone know what it is?

 

Not a speaker, tiny fan sampling cabin air for climate control sensor.
